A Message from the Chair of FOBS

The Friends of Badsworth School (FOBS) are a group of parents and other friends who work together to raise funds to provide support for extra- curricular events and resources to ensure all children at Badsworth CE J&I School have an enhanced school experience.  The events are not only about fund raising but also additional enjoyment for our children.

Events organised by FOBS include story nights, film nights, the Christmas and Summer Fairs, raffles and the Chocolate Tombola as well as many smaller events throughout the year.

We have, with your generous help, previously funded pantomimes for all the pupils to enjoy in school and provided transport for Young Voices, gingerbread men for all new Fountain Stage children and ice-creams for sports day.  As well as supporting the school with any additional resources they may need, FOBS also provides funds for each classroom which the teachers can use to purchase anything they feel will help to support and enhance the learning experience for our children - such are creating a cosy reading corner, additional books or educational toys for Foundation Stage.

We meet in school once every half term and new volunteers are always welcome to the team. A warm welcome awaits parents and friends to these meetings and the opportunity to become a committee member.  Any support big or small is always greatly appreciated.

Members of FOBS are in the playground before and after school and are happy to speak to you in more detail about the group and activities.  We always welcome suggestions for new fundraising ideas too.  Alternatively, please feel free to email us at fobs@badsworthceschool.co.uk
