At Badsworth CE J&I School, we work hard to meet the many and varying needs of all our children, fostering their academic, physical, social, moral, spiritual and cultural development. All stakeholders follow our School Vision:
Here at Badsworth C of E Junior and Infant School, we ensure everyone flourishes through the way we:
- Consider And Respect Everyone as Jesus taught
- Prepare for a bright future
- Believe we can make a difference
'I can do all things through him who strengthens me.'
Phillippians 4:13
Our school is characterised by consideration and respect for everyone as Jesus taught. Our vision is embedded and is a supportive guide to all stakeholders so that they feel a sense of belonging.
At the heart of our school is our shared commitment to our six Christian Values that are embedded within our daily work and play. Our Christian Values underpin, inspire and enrich the choices and actions taken by all. Kindness, Courage, Belonging, Hope, Forgiveness and Trust support and guide us so that we can flourish and prepare for the bright future ahead, believing we can make a difference.
At the heart of our daily work is a commitment to develop a culture where everyone can flourish. Positive relationships are built between all stakeholders and the wider community, with an understanding of mutual respect.
Through our vision, we learn that ‘everyone’ should be treated with consideration and respect no matter their faith, race, age, ability or gender. All God’s children are encouraged to grow and develop alongside each other in an inclusive way. We work hard to ensure that everybody, especially the vulnerable, are given the opportunities they need to believe and prepare for a bright future. As a result of this, on a daily basis, we see that children practice inclusive attitudes and behaviours.
Children understand this vision, which is captured through daily collective worships and weekly Achievement Worship, where the children are celebrated when they have shown that they themselves live out our vision and values.
We have positive and impactful relationships with our local community and, in particular, with a number of local groups because we want to demonstrate a belonging to a larger community and encourage our children in particular, to actively contribute to that community and see beyond themselves. We work as Courageous Advocates, to promote justice and responsibility where we inspire to help those in need. Understanding that despite our own struggles, and the global challenges we all face, we believe we can do all things through Him who strengthens us.
