Well, I can't quite believe we are at the end of a very strange year!
I want to start by saying thank you to all the grown ups for their continued support throughout this tricky time. Also, thank you to all the children in Year 1, we may not have spent the whole year together but you have all done an amazing job at keeping safe an doing your best.
Miss Jenkins is really looking forward to having you in her class and will be ringing you all next week so make sure you are ready to tell her some fabulous things all about you!
This will be the last week of home learning so enjoy it! There is a poem inspired by the book 'Now I Am Six' where you will learn the spellings for the days of the week, with a rhyming word at the end of each line.
In Maths this week you will be learning all about time. This can be very tricky but is a very important skill to learn so try your best! I have also put two lots of mastery challenge cards on if you are ready for a challenge.
I am going to sign off with a poem of my own.
Have a great week and summer holiday!
Stay safe and most of all be kind to others'

To my fabulous class!
This year as I close the class door,
My heart can’t help but to want more,
For there’s so much we missed,
But it’s not time to be sad, it’s time to reminisce, (tricky word)
Of all the good times we shared,
And how much we all cared.
We learned how to read and we learned how to write,
But most importantly, we learned how to try with all our might!
School does not measure your smile or test your kind heart,
And these are things that set you apart.
It’s clear to see you’re the best class around,
Flourishing in lockdown, you have made me so proud!
It’s true, I won’t be your teacher next year
But Miss Jenkins is, so give a cheer!
